From a Pandemic Hobby to a Occupational Passion
Welcome to our farm and to the beginning of turning a dream into reality. Jelly Fresh Flowers is located on 2 and 1/3 acres halfway between Garner and Fuquay Varina, NC. William and I moved onto the farm in April of 2022, along with our two young-adult children (built-in labor!), after two years of growing cut flowers on a small suburban lot in Garner. We were micro-farming, and now we aren’t! We put the first seeds in the ground the day after we signed the papers.
Our goal is to provide high-quality cut flowers for our customers as well as local florists and designers. The most important part of our business is the people of the community who love our flowers as much as we do.

Maggie Tubilleja
A little about me, Maggie - I'm a teacher of students with visual impairments. As fulfilling as the job is, I have always had a deep need to have my hands in the dirt. My favorite place as a child in western NC was in the woods with the plants, mostly climbing the rhododendron or playing landscape designer to the ants (which is how I learned that poison ivy is not a landscape plant!) In 2010, I started Garner Grows Community Garden, with a lot of help from friends and the community. After a lot of trial and error (and many, many dead plants), I seemed to learn the proper way to water, sow seeds, and generally - usually - keep produce alive long enough to harvest. During the pandemic lockdown in 2020, I realized that flower farming and floral design are where I want to focus my creativity. As crazy as it sounded then - and now - I realized I wanted to be a flower farmer.
William Tubilleja
A little about William - He is also a teacher of students with visual impairments and an Orientation and Mobility specialist. On the farm, he is my builder of trellises, drip tape installer, and Jack-of-all-trades, willing to try it all even when he's never done it before. He keeps me focused and on-task when I'm tired and when there's so much to do that I don't know where to start. I'm so relieved and happy he is willing to come along for the ride.
